  • KEEPING BONSAI TREE IN SHAPE – trimming a bonsai tree comes in two ways. First is maintenance-pruning, which means you need to maintain and refine the existing shape of a Bonsai. UPDATE: The seller is really courteous to respond too quick. Here is the response: "Please keep it in a warm place above 70 F and provide it sunlight as much as possible and the new leaves will come out pretty soon, if not, we will send over the replacement for you at no cost. Please let us know if you have any questions." REASON (for 1 to 5): I totally love the pot, water cavity, soil and price. The tree is budding at the ends, but a little burnt from underneath (as shown in the images), which is my reason to give 1 on my first review. I switched to 5, because the seller has been kind enough to give me tips to make it better and an alternative as well. INITIAL REVIEW: Is my tree dying? I just received the tree on Monday with couple of dry branches and leaves, plus I did not pay keen attention to what's under the green leaves. Since arrival it has been brown and drying up from the bottom. I have enclosed the pictures. If anyone could help me understand if this is normal, I can change the stars on the review.

Love this Bosai .. So happy with it.. arrived on time and was very well packaged. Was surprised that it came with two figurers mounted to the rocks ..way cool ..Many thanks to 9greenbox .. I will be ordering more from this company

My niece had one of these and she accidentally left it outside in the Arizona sun in the summer and killed it. I told her I would bring it back to health, but after caring for it for a few weeks it was obvious the thing was toast. So I bought her a replacement and gave it to her saying I revived it, she was impressed with my amazing plant raising skills! But really though it arrived fresh, green, moist soil, and tightly wrapped. Great gift!

For the price this is a steal!! It's absolutely beautiful. Packaging was perfect, not a single branch damaged. It came with a clay and ceramic figurine that holds a fishing pole that's included. The pond side is bigger than I expected. I love it. I gave mine as a gift and my mother in law loved it and thought I paid so much more than I did, so it's a perfect gift

After reading many reviews I was very nervous which pot I would get and if the little fisherman would be inside or not. Thankfully I got him and the pot with the pond! I’ve had for about 4 months now and my tree is still alive. Delivery: Arrived within a few days of ordering. Packaged very nicely and there was no damage to the tree. Pot: Half pond/dirt. The dirt side has two holes, assuming for the water to pour out of. I’ve been thinking about filling the hole, I have to watch how much water I do or it falls out the bottom. For what’re reason the water absorbs the water daily, I don’t see it leaking. May be my office temperate but I find it strange how I fill the pond with water daily. (I get over it!) The soil and the Little Rock’s on top of the dirt are very annoying when I water the tree and they fall into the pond. Tree: Great condition, no complaints!

Absolutely Love it. I received it perfectly. See pictures The saucer is something i bought separately.

I very much enjoy this little tree. It came in good condition, and is a hearty and pretty little bonsai. 2 tips however, First, it is not meant to live indoors, unless it gets a LOT of light, but it is very happy outside in most climates. Second, I got a candle wick and put it in the pond and along the surface of the dirt. Then I put some local moss (cut from under a tree) over all of the dirt. This made a very nice little system where the wick pulls water from the pond, and the moss looks nice and keeps the moisture in so that the whole little system is happy and I only have to refill the pond to water it, and no water is leaking out of the bottom ever.

Tree looks to be healthy, however, the pot that came with it is not as described. In now way can it hold water. I too received a regular pot with a plastic divider. Fisherman was so cheap his face is mangled. I bought specifically for the fun Zen "pond". **UPDATE** Without any prompting from me, I received another tree in the mail just a few days later. It had the expected pot along with another healthy tree. I can only assume it was in response to my comments. A seller who cares about the satisfaction of its customers is always someone to do business with. Very happy now. Would recommend.

I didn't expect to get something exactly like the photo. I got a beautiful tree that has an interesting and excellent shape. The pond-pot is beautiful too. Darkish Blue in color and odd shape, sort of oval but has wrinkled wavy like edges. Very unique. Mine came well packed in Styrofoam Peanuts. it was sideways in box with enough around the tree to prevent it from moving or bouncing around while in transit. I gently pushed them away until i found the pot, firmly grabbed that and gently lifted it out of the box. and brushed any other peanuts off. Came in perfect condition. Pot was wrapped in plastic wrap up to the trunk of the tree. I carefully cut using small scissors and making small snips to make a path through the wrapping and gently cut around the trunk. Not hard to do. I just wanted to be careful so not to damage the tree. So there was little loose soil and no big mess to clean up. Very well done. Once unpacked I inserted the fisherman and his fishing pole, added some rain water for the pond. I then searched for a drip-humidity tray that would fit the pot and the space where i wanted to keep it, a window ledge. ended up with a perfect size tray (6x9) that did not stick out over the edge. allowed the pot to sit inside and still have some room for decorative stones. Very pleased with everything.

I was worried because of some negative reviews. When I received the Bonsai Tree, I was relieved to find everything in perfect condition. Tree looked quite healthy and good quality. No complaints about anything. Would definitely order again!
